Racks vs cages?

BennyD Sep 24, 2003 01:39 PM

""How are most rack systems on heating. I am thinking of buying one because we have two ball pythons and one black king. For those of you that use racks can you give me advice, did you build or buy, pros cons. I have been looking at Jason's Jungle because they are always at the Indy shows and the business is close to my location""

Someone else posted this and I'm reposting it because I'm curious about it too for space reasons. Is it okay to have your ball python living in a rack full time?

The thing is I plan on getting another python very soon and I think it's just more economical (space wise and monetarily) if I get a rack system over an extra cage.

I use racks. Only my chondros are housed in display cages. Racks make good use of space when you have many reptiles. I just received a new rack from Animal Plastics and so far, I'm pretty impressed. I have some rack units from Matrix and while the quality is excellent, I don't like the design of the units I have - they are long instead of deep. I have built some in the past, but for me it's more economical to just purchase.
