cage sizes, need help

jojay327 Aug 01, 2010 05:13 PM

I have four redtails all about 5' ( craigs list specials ) and I ran into a deal on cages. I can get a 5 stack of ( 4'x20"x12" ) or a stack of vision 332's ( 3'x 28"x 12" ) the 4 footers seem more common but my math tells me the visions have more square feet per cage. Both stacks are the same price. What is the better deal? thanks for any help. Jay

I would go with the Visions for more floor space plus stronger/ lomg lassting cages. 20 inches wide is narrow for adult boas. Also for height-those Visions are taller than 12 inches. Bill

I have that Vision cage. Although the depth makes it tough for me to get my arm all the way in there without sticking my head partially in the cage, I do love the cage. It looks the exact same after 6 yrs (cargo container, lol). The glass doors are strong and secure.

If your ambient air temps are low in Winter, I will recommend installing a radiant heat panel in the cage. I even have a RHP in a model 221 Vision. IMO just an easier way to effectively heat and plenty safe. Visions do not have flat ceilings but it is still easy to install a RHP in them.
