Finally out!

ChrisMaze Aug 03, 2010 09:57 PM

Well my first clutch is finally all out of their eggs. Was quite pleased to discover that my anery rootbeer is also het for amel and motley.

The final count is:
2 normal root beers het for amel, anery, and motley
2 motley snowsicles
1 motley creamsicle het for anery
4 motley anery root beers het for amel
1 anery root beer het for amel and motley

One of the 4 motley aneries has some different looking coloring going on, though. I know my female was 50% for hypo. Wondering if maybe by chance the male may have been, too? Or if its just a lighter anery. Pics below.

Oh yea. And I found this kind of odd. Of 7 visible morphs that came out, 6 were motley as well. And neither of the "normals" were motley. Anybody else noticed maybe any sort of inheritance tendencies with motley and other genes?

Interesting... this next year I'll be pairing up my normal het snow motley with a visual motley morph, so I wonder if I'll get any normal motleys? I'll have to remember to check that out..

by the way... Beautiful babies! The snow motley is hot! Always been one of my favorite morph combos.
