Hey Jimmy, you have some of nicest creamsickles around IMO and they are very much "Creamsickly" in coloration for lack of a better term LOL!! Do you make it a point to keep them 50/50 in the emoryi/corn mix? They do not appear to be diluted with corn and look like the creamsickles I remember back in the 90s. Very nice indeed.

I bought my stripe cream pair in '02 and I'm not 100% sure but I think they were 50/50...They are my only stripe cream breeder pair. I have one hold-over female from last season that I plan to use in time but every season people talk me into letting go of my keepers so I can't ever keep any back...lol.
My main breeding pair of motley creamsicles were fathed by my male stripe cream mentioned above paired with a female creamsicle het motley that is 50/50..so the motley creams aren't diluted beyond 50/50 either.
The clutch of creams, rootbeers and cinnamons, pictured above, is from a cinnamon female that is 37.5% emoryi paired with a 50/50 meahlmorum/corn.

I do have one pairing where I go back to corn. I have a male cinnamon that is 50/50 that I breed to a female snow corn. She is het hypo so I get some cinnamons each season from her. that is the only pure corn involved in any of my emoryi/corn cross breedings.

I have plans to introduce more emoryi into a couple of my lines next season.
I plan to breed my stripe cream male to one of my female emoryis and one of my emoryi males to a either a motley cream or a cinnamon...haven't decided yet.

I hope I made some kind of sense..I read back over that and I think I may actually have brain damage....lol

"every season people talk me into letting go of my keepers so I can't ever keep any back...lol."

lol. i'm sorry to add to that jimmy. but at least you're getting a nice amel emory's out of it in our case.

"The clutch of creams, rootbeers and cinnamons, pictured above, is from a cinnamon female that is 37.5% emoryi paired with a 50/50 meahlmorum/corn."

did you get the meahllmorum cross from sean at vmsherp or is someone else producing that mix?

Can't ever have too many amel emoryis...lol
be nice to get a little different blood in my lines.
I traded Terry Cox (ratsnakehaven) for the meahllie/corn a couple of seasons ago. I love what the meahllie influence does to my cinnamons..
and I've had a few creamsicles come out that looked almost like amel emoryis. The corn blood was pretty obvious, especially sitting next to a true amel emoryi, but the coloration and saddle patterning were much closer to an emoryi look.
Something else I should have kept...lol

Thanks Steve
for all of you who don't this..my founding stock of stripe creams and cinnamons came from Steven Roylance.
One of the best corn snake "cooks" out there.
He doesn't push his name out there like some but always on the cutting edge of corn snake genetics.
Always nice to see you drop by Steven.
Good luck with all of yours this season

one I produced from Steven's stock...unfotunately she passed for some unknown reason. She was about two years old and definitely the best I ever produced. Bummer. Still looking for "that" special one.
A couple from this season show some potential but it takes two or three sheds to get a good idea of the standouts.
