Stillwater Hypo Male

brhaco Aug 05, 2010 07:41 AM

Just snapping a few pics, and thought I'd post my main breeder male Stillwaer hypo. He's just 4 years old, and a couple inches under 7 feet.

Amazing! I'd love to see pic of someone holding it for size comparison.

I've got two '08s, both of which never miss a meal. They're very stout but seem to have stalled-out length & weight wise at almost 5 feet. How big was that guy at 2 years?

Here's my growth/feeding charts kept since March. I've been delinquent about length measurements cause it's so hard to get accurate data, hence no length graph.

That's a huge stillwater. Most of them don't get that big.

Monklet.....I thought my 08 stillwater female had stalled at 4 feet but she is nearly 5 now. I think your pair might do the same.

I also have an 07 male Oklahoma locale bull who hovered around 5 at year 2. He has put on 8 or 9 inches since then.

It's really hard to tell what they will do. I always try to figure out how they will grow. With all the speculation I just end up annoying myself haha.

Thanks for the encouragement. Just measured the male today and he's just about 61 inches and 1550 grams. The female is probably about the same now. I love those snakes and the more to love the better

Stunning example you've got there!!I've mostly been partial to pines, but seein' stuff like this makes it quite obvious that as far as pits go,it's really west of the Mississippi, and also south of the border where striking colors/paint jobs come into play.Gotta love stillwater bulls, man! Thanks for sharing, Alan

Thanks guys-you should see him in person. Despite his size, he's the calmest snake I own, perfectly trustworthy even with small children.
