A bit OT...

So yesterday I was at Petco waiting to buy a mouse and there was a pretty trashy family looking to buy a pet rat. They went through a long story about how their previous rats had gotten sick and then the mother proceeded to explain that they had to "shoot" one of the rats to "put it down." WTF!? Who shoots a freakin rat to put it down? It takes all kinds!

lol. Well, if they don't realize there are other options than vet euthanasia, I guess I can see their point of view.

I had a pet mouse when I was a kid that got sick. We took it to the vet, they recommended putting it down. It cost us $48 just to euthanize a mouse. I don't even remember how much the appointment cost. When I found out I told my mother we should have just smashed it with a frying pan. Needless to say, that was my last mouse pet until I moved out.

No of course I didn't call them trashy, I just thought it in my head, haha. I'm in central MA... but I grew up in north central FL so have dealt with my fair share.

I can understand not bringing it to the vets to euthanise, but seems like there might be quicker and less drastic means of killing a rat than shooting it!

I'm just kidding about the people.....in PA we have them too...
every state and country has them....

rats...to make not alive...yes there are millions of ways we won't discuss on here faster ,cheaper, and more legal than shooting......!

....have fun.....and go to peopleofwalmart.com
