FLRT Suri Litter Born Yesterday

JasonRobeck Aug 05, 2010 12:51 PM

I've been hoping for this litter for years. I picked up the mother back in 2000. She's teased me for years, making me think she might throw a litter. This year was her first and it looks to have been worth the wait. 20 babies, 5 slugs and no still borns. The babies are all huge and active. I had a hard time getting any good shots of them, but will make up for that in the future.

Here's the parents back in the spring. The father is from the FLRT line.

Here's the mother just a month ago.

Here's shots of some of the babies.

This one just wouldn't hold still, but check out the peaks and the little stripe on its tail.

Beautiful litter Jason. It is always nice to get a litter from a female that has been holding out on you. Congrats on the awesome babies. How is mom doing?

You're right it is nice. I was stoked to finally find this litter. She'd been with the same male for the last 4 seasons and I was beginning to give up hope on that pairing. She's doing fine. Was feeding when I left for work this morning.

What's written above is purely my opinion. In fact, MOST of what you read on the internet is someone's opinion. Don't take it too seriously

Thanks Jonathan. No doubt on the hold backs. Now I begin to see how some of the big breeders got to be big. It's hard to let them all go.

Thanks. I picked her up as a baby back in 2000 from LLL Reptile in Oceanside, CA. If I remember correctly she was produced by one of their customers. Not positive on that though. She's right at 9 feet now and is probably my most docile animal. I've really enjoyed having her.
