I know the Johnson A419 can use a night drop, but am having a real hard time finding instructions on wiring it up... I know Rich at RBI sells them pre-wired, but I have the A419 already, and I kinda like these DIY projects... I did find one blurb about it that's very sparse on the specifics:
"The night drop feature works. I used a night drop cord from herpstat. Wired a female min jack connector to the +Bin and Com sensor circuit. Plugged the night drop cord in and set the OFS temp to 7 deg. when the night drop is on the bin mode is activated and the OFS setting is subtracted from the main set point." (LINK)
I got a couple A419's, and a couple Herpstat night drop cables. I'm fairly comfortable opening the device up and changing the wiring. I wired up both of these with power strips and probes. I just can't quite figure out what I need to wire up to connect the night drop cables to the A419's...? Does anyone know what this "female min jack connector" is? A Radio Shack part number would be AWESOME...
