FAVORITE BOA...O.T. slightly

TOM_CRUTCHFIELD Aug 06, 2010 02:55 PM

This is my best 2 year old Dominican Red and she just continues to improve. She started out as a brownish red baby and then changed into this beauty. Another nice thing is they NEVER bite.. Enjoy the pic and sorry it's off topic a little but she was looking good today and I couldn't resist...LOL

So those are in the rainbow boa family? Are the reds a morph of them or just a color phase? They are sweet.

They're Epicrates s. striatus for now and they are natural occurring not a morph....

I really like to see boa breeders out there that breed such a diverse variety of snakes! You have the most authentic passion for reptiles man! I still can't believe you held a black mamba like as if it were a garter snake and cobras to. I really hope to see you work with the BOELEN'S soon so you can produce some true captives.. I think your method of outside breeding is the proper way to get those shy snakes like Diamonds and Boelen's to make fertile eggs. Keep it up I want to see some baby boelens from ya so i can by a true captive one day. They are my true favorite fantasy snake to have for just a pet.
Take care,
JAKE
