Dome Head Baby

APLAXAR Aug 07, 2010 09:21 AM

Hey Gang, i received some eggs from a local school teacher, i incubated them and most hatched out, it was a mystery clutch, i didnt have much information other then they were corn snakes. so most of them hatched and i cut three eggs this morning, all housing dead babies, one had the "dome head" appearance, i just cant for the life of me remember why they get the "dome head", cant anyone refresh my memory?

thanks

Possibly too much moisture added late in incubation? I recall getting google eyed and weird headed alternas one year when I got paranoid and added a lot of moisture to the media close to hatching. I suspect some type of swelling to the head/brain due to moisture???
