At what age do BRB's go from the dull brown of their youth to the red and orange colors of adulthood?

David,
. Of the BRBs that I have raised up most of them looked their plainest at 3 to 18 months of age and made remarkable changes for the better with each shed after around 18 months of age. Nearly all of the orange ones and most of the red ones got much, much better looking. A few of the darker red ones turned more dark and eventually got way too dark.
