Flying gecko w/ crested....can they be kept together?

SpidermanMom Sep 24, 2003 05:11 PM

I was wondering if anyone has tried this... I have a single Crested, and a single Flying...not interested in breeding...

Thanks...

Aside from temp/climate differences between the two, you probably wouldn't want to mix them:
Flying geckos most often are wild caught and carry a parasite load. Crested geckos are generally high quality captive bred animals, and should be kept separate from other species.

What if the flying was captive bred? (Mine is) Also, from what I understand, the flying gecko has almost the same needs as the crested as far as heat, ventilation, etc...

I have tons of other reptiles (as you can see from my signature)...but it almost seems harmless...

Anyway, thanks for your input! Greatly appreciated.

I think that the crested would eat the flying as soon as it was big enough to stuff the flying in its mouth. They can have pretty violent feeding responses.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?
