I really want to build a good snake rack. So my question is how do i build one? What materials, heating, and what brand tubs? Or is it cheaper to just buy one from one of these big reptile companies? Thank for any help

I'm trying to find out the same thing. What kind of snakes are you building for? I know people that built for their ball pythons... They used 41 qt sterilite tubs with holes drilled into the sides.... I've heard of people using 11 inch flexwatt heat tape, heat cables, or even heat pads. For a thermostat you can either use a helix (which is what I had recommended to me by the Oregon Coast Aquarium), or I've heard really good things about the Herpstat by Spyder Robotics as well. I've seen racks made out of wood and racks made out of plastic or metal. I'm trying to get my dad to build me one from wood, but I still need to figure out dimensions, and how to put the heat and everything.
If you have any more questions, I can try to help you with what I've seen other people have
