BEL, question

skyfire_1 Aug 09, 2010 07:45 PM

OK, so here I am with a Female Albino, and a Male Spider that I was going to try breeding next year. But I just aquired a Female Blue Eye Leucistic the other day. I am not all that up on the genetics and how they work, but I do know that the Spider is a dominant gene.

Since I do not have another Male besides the Spider, what would I get with a Spider X BEL? Would it be a unadvised pairing? Or what Male morph should I be looking for to cross with the BEL?

What are the BEL components?

Possibly Normals, spiders, mojaves and mojave spiders

or butters or lessers in place of the mojaves. it'll all depend on what produced the BEL

If it's a super mojave, you would get mojavies, and mojave spiders.

So if the Dam was a Lesser, and the Sire was a Mojave, then for me to be able to produce other BEL's my options would be to get a Male, Lesser, Mojave, Normal, or another BEL?

You're on the right track there. If the dam was a lesser and the sire was a mojave then you can produce more BEL's with a male lesser, mojave or BEL but not a normal. Even though your female is both lesser and mojave she can't pass both traits to one baby at the same time. She can only contribute one or the other.

Still, lesser-spiders and mojave-spiders are pretty cool.

you need to ask whom you got it from what he/she used to make the BEL. there's to many different morphs that can be used to make a BEL these days.

know that will tell you everything else.
