can any combination of vields (male, female) be housed together in, say a 65 gallon reptarium, or should all of them be housed separately?
thanks

well I am no expert but I believe you aren't supposed to house chams together in anything short of a greenhouse.

I think a 65 gallon reptarium would be too small to house 1 full grown veiled. That is a better size for smaller species like jacksons. You should house your chameleons in their own cages out of eyesight of each other because if they can see each other this can stress them out leading to a weakened imune system and the posibility of an early death. Hope this helps!

Still too small for a Jacksons. the min for a Jackson is 24x24x36. Im sure they would survive in a 65G, but they would not be happy, nor would they have to room to regulate their systems properly. As with all adult chams bigger is better. I am still suprised the min for a Panther would be 24x24x48. I would think a species that large would deserve a 30x30x60 to be happy.
I dont like the reptariums much. for just a bit more you can get a screen cage that is larger, easier to clean and easier to access the cameleon itself. Not to mention it does not block UV light like the reptariums. The Reptariums..each time you open the zipper the light base and plastic shakes the entire cage...so you stress your cham out every time you need to access the cage. Also - after only 6 months loose threads have come out near the zipper and occasionally make it a bear to open!
I do have one (65G), but it sits out of the way and acts as either a quarentine, temp cage while cleaning another cage or as my outdoor cage.
