God what a beautiful snake...I wish I could afford a morph

You know Benny, I would never buy a snake with "real" money. It always just snake money re-invested. So if you were to say breed a common boa and wholesale the babies, you could easily get a Pastel male and 4-8 normal females. After that, you are set. All these expensive morphs, people don't realize that its often just money rolled back into the hobby. That's what makes it the best hobby in the world! Something for everyone, know what I mean?

Cheers man. Once you start, the Ball just keeps rolling. Take care.

What about those of us who just want an albino ball python as a pet? lol, I'm defenitely thinking about starting breeding though, I will have to pick up a few books, can anyone recommend a good one to start with?

An updated version of the Ball Python Manual (AVS series) is a great start. After that, just watch your snakes! They are like reading a book every day! Its awesome!

God tell me about it! My standard ball lately has been like reading an Ayn Rand novel, I still can't believe she was so active last night after I fed her a small mouse, she was moving around her cage constantly trying to get out.

Like new chapters, every day eh? :D

Ouch! Where's my shades?! They're so bright! Nice snakes, good luck with them!

jeff favelle Sep 24, 2003 06:40 PM

We were quite lucky. Our male was only about 11 months old and we didn't think he was going to be a good breeder. Thank god he came through, because I've been making stupid purchases (snake-wise) all year long. This clutch bails me out somewhat, LOL!!

Thanx! Jeff F.
