Rodent pro had chicks on sell for 12 cents each so I thought I'd give them a try vs. weaner rats for my florida kings.
They certainly all liked them well enough buy my axanthanic male never manage to figure out how to eat it; he tried for a good 30 minutes and *never* found the head. Tried to eat it butt first, so the legs folded funky and it wouldn't fit...then he tried to eat it sideways from multiple points...which never worked...the others took a bit (like 10-15 minutes). But he never could figure out where the head was *sigh*

I think he's the slow one of the bunch

I did the same with my MBK and she loved them. The only problem was she'd eat three at a time. I would wave them in front of her face, then she would lunge for the head. I also cut the sharp beaks off with a scissor to avoid a regurge.
