Babies

mrkent Aug 11, 2010 11:56 PM

Out of 21 eggs laid in May, I ended up with 11 that looked good until couple of weeks ago. They started hatching a week ago. I have 7 babies, plus 2 that seemed to have died in the egg, and one more egg that went bad. There is also one that has not hatched but looks like it might still be good.

It turns out that my male lavender is het for hypo, as two of the 7 babies are hypo. The other 5 are normal, but all are het for hypo, lavender, and stripe.

I will post pics after they shed.

The last egg hatched: another hypo. So there are 3 hypos and 5 normals.

Hi Kent,.....

That is pretty cool you found out exactly what your adult is now. I remember a long while back you asking if he looked like a hypo lavender, or a lavender. Looks like you know for certain now!..LOL!

Cool little kids too, congrats!!

The male is a lavender, but het for hypo. Unfortunately I sold him, to make room for other projects. I am really leaning toward getting a L. p. knoblochi. Or a pair!

I will be keeping the hypo babies, so eventually I should be able to hatch some hypo lavender stripes!
