Amazingly good odds

alstotton Aug 12, 2010 03:41 PM

Talk about good luck with the odds this season, this takes the trophy for me personally!! WOW!!

4 eggs from albino (het snow), first two pippers BOTH Snows!!
the third pipped this afternoon,an albino (prob Hi-Red phase).

It had taken the best part of 6 years when I was lucky enough to hatch my very first one last season, from a clutch of 6 eggs.

As you can imagine with the odds stacked against me, to get two from a 4 egg clutch is just awesome good luck where odds are concerned.

The parents are albino and were created from total outcrossings to inc. Albino Hi Red, Snow applegate and klumpers hypo genetics.

I've noticed one of the new hatch snows is very pink and much like the first one from '09.
On the other hand its sibling appears to be different phenotypically, much more white looking and has pale blue above the eyes!!
Hard to catch correct on a pic, although i'll take some more shots in the morning light once they slough a new one on me at least

Heres pics taken earlier.
opinions most welcome.

Thanks for lookin'

AL

Hey THANKS guys

I'm really pleased with those snows and its great to have a freshly created snow base for future projects.

Just sexed the and I have 1.1 snows and a F albino het snow.

My next experiment will be to test the compatability of applegate snow, and the snow line I've made from outcrossings.
