How many people started with kingsnakes?

Curiousity Sep 24, 2003 06:32 PM

Just curious, i see them labeled as starter snakes. Personally if i started with this cali king i found i would never have gotten larger snakes, this little fella is a ripper lol. BITE BITE BITE BITE. i heard that they calm down as they get holder but if i didn't have the patience for snakes I woudnt have kept him. They are gorgeous animals but they have big attitudes lol, makes them interesting though, I hold him every day and get nipped every day. Already planning my purchase on others!!!

CB kings, especially Easterns, I guess, start out tame. My first snake was a king but it was sort of all the pet store had.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?

The first snake that I got to "Keep" was a scarlet King. The first one I caught(at age 5) and brought home was a baby Pygmy rattler (For some reason did not bite me...which shows there is a providence that protects some fools and small kids).
