Somebody forgot to tell this . . .

John Q Aug 15, 2010 04:37 PM

Somebody forgot to tell this hatchling that Red Axanthics should have a black back. Also their background color after their first shed should not be this black. I love the striping and the two dots on its head but this one looks more like a real nice axanthic than a Red Axanthic.

I taught the het red were black back but not necessarily the homozygous form (red axanthic).

Hey John, is it just mine or are all het reds and reds very aggressive as babies? Nice thing about that nippiness is that they are all outstanding feeders. I have never had one that did not feed well and grow like a weed. That is a sweet red, got to get some hypo into that.
