I'm asking for opinions on another lump - I just got a Mexican Black King back from ex-husband (he didn't want it anymore) to find it has a huge long lump just above the vent. I would think it was a over-large feeding, but it's so far down and ex told me he fed the snake over 10 days ago. He also said the snake hasn't had it long, but I don't know if he had had the snake out to check it over for awhile. I have a bad feeling about this, and this snake is a nice old boy, at least 13 years old.
My feeling on this is to up the heat and see if he does digest (the snake has had no heat on him), and if no change in a week take him in to my vet. Or sooner, if I notice it growing larger. If it's a tumor, I'm afraid the old guy will have to be put down, but I don't want him to be in pain. Any suggestions on what I can do for him would be greatly appreciated.
