Super Motleys Great Basin Gophers

Jason Nelson Aug 15, 2010 06:48 PM

The Motley gene is Co-dominate. I was expecting a patternless snake, but the color is nicer then I thought. I wouldn't be surprised if they turn white with age. Blue iris and ruby pupils.

We waited 4 years to try and produce Super. Mostly because we wanted to start other projects. We are going to wait a couple more years before we produce Supers again.

6 eggs from this clutch. 2 normals, 2 Supers and 2 Motleys.

We got a another nice surprise when eggs hatched. The Motley seem to be Axanthic. We produced Motleys the last 4 years and none of them were close to these colors. This may mean that the original WC Motley maybe het for Axanthic.

HI Tom

I'm hoping these guys turn white on the background. That would be a nice contrast.

Great snakes Jason. I don't know anybody here in Europe with deserticola. Very strange.

I dont think very many people breed GBs. They are some what common but not as Captive Borns.

Thanks Jason
