I wondered if I could top last years Blaze X Hypo... I have to say YES! The double het parents produced another over the top morph. This is snake is dry as can be, not even damp...and it looks wet. This thing is AMAZING!

Special thanks to Mike Foux for doing such a great job caring for my collection while I was on vacation. He saw these before I did!

I still speak to the guy who got last years Hypo Blaze [probably was anyway...] and it still looks incredible. This one is ever crazier...it is just amazing

I must admit that I never saw any future in this project and only undertook it to establish that there was no relationship between the goini blaze and the hypo brooks trait.

I might have made my point with the F1 generation but the F2 generation is proving me way wrong.

I thought ( and still do) that blaze was a type of hypo and that the two traits would be indistinguishable in the same animal. I have to say I was wrong on that because the animal you posted appears very likey to be a double homgygote.

That said i find the results of brooks X goini interesting anyway. it seems that the f2 generation yield more patternless or near patternless than "pure" goini lines which I don't understand but there it is.

Call it a hunch but I never thought it was the same... I still speak to the guy who purchased last years "neon rust" cross... I will see if he will post some pics of it on here for us soon.

I agree that though sometimes they come out looking extremely Floridana-y I have to wonder if the Goini someone is using already has some Floridana in the mix... I think the Blaze line and Hypo Brooksi make veyr nice animals. I have 2 holdbacks I am hoping go next season onto their sire

Oh man that Patternless is Amazing. How common is the patternless gene. What about the top one, what do you expect it to look like as an adult. Great looking animals bro.

SUHWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!

Nokturnel Tom Aug 16, 2010 09:02 PM

The Patternless thing seems to be random...and I dont think 2 of them will even increase the odds of seeing more per clutch. I like Patternless everything [like PITS!] and this guy floored me.
I believe the other one is a type of Sulfur... you should see that in person... my guess is it gets incredible colors as it matures.

Beautiful hatchlings, Tom! What are the genetics are involved in the adult breeders, blaze goini and hypo brooks?
Thanks,
Ryan

Nokturnel Tom Aug 17, 2010 09:50 AM

The breeders are double hets that were created with a Blaze Goini and Hypo Brooksi. I have seen many cool snakes come out of this pair...
