Don't care much about pattern and colors. I just want to know who normally has the biggest bearded dragons?

Done with college and want a bearded again. Just a huge one!

Lynn From Carolina Designer Dragons has ENORMOUS Dragons WITH COLOR too! She is a dear friend of ours, so tell her we recommended you to her.

If you visit her site, you will see the weight of her breeders in grams. When she treats us @ the SHOWS and brings some breeders along with her. They are touching from Head to Tail ON BOTH SIDES OF A 20 GALLONG LONG TANK... INSANLY HUGE!!!!!

I have to confirm the size of Lyns dragons are huge as well!!! I met her at a show in Baton Rouge, LA over the July 4th weekend. They were very large and colorful. If not mistaken, she does attribute some of their size to heavy feeding schedules when young and throughout their first year. Regardless, her dragons were the largest I have seen by far at any shows.

Is his name " Big Mac ?" or maybe "Whopper?"

He is named after a poster from years past' dragon Ord that passed away. The poster had a very touching story about how she go into dragons. If I can find the story I'll post it but I haven't heard from her in years.

His mother is a rescue named Simone and is closer to 800 grams than he. He gets his size from her. His father Toby is a Dachiu line Greenie/Orange German Giant but is not extraordinarily large himself.

Maybe LdyPayne can remember who's story it is.

For me it was my youngest daughter Madi who was 2 years old at the time and we were stationed in Augusta GA, my hubby was deployed in Afghanistan. The girls and I started a weekend tradition going to the mall to look at the pet store and then have a cookie. It was cheep and fun for the kids. On one of our trips we were looking at the reptiles. Madi kept putting her hand up on the class and laughing. I looked down to see a bearded dragon mimicking her actions an placing its hand on the glass to meet hers. It was love at first sight for her. She tried as hard as she could to get me to let her take it home. "He my friend Mommy, He love me Mommy, He sad, he need me". She cried all the way home and talked about him every day until we went back to the store. The next weekend she was delighted that her friend was still there. She still insisted that her friend was sad that she left him, I knew I was going to have a hard time saying no, so I talked to one of the store workers about the care of a bearded dragon, owning a beardie him self got real fired up about how great they were for pets, and then bombarded me with information on the care of a beardie.... I was quickly overwhelmed. UV lights, heat lights, heat mats, bugs, salad, soaking, hot and cold spots, sand, basking spots, and so on. I found my self saying "Boy that sounds like a lot of work" but he insisted that they were great pets so I bought a book to read. I had to carry Madi crying out of the store her little heart was broken that we did not take her friend home. That night I read the book and emailed my Hubby. We decided that it would be a great first pet for Madi even though I knew she was to young to do most of the care, but after reading the book I felt much better about it, not so overwhelmed.

The next day I was at the store as the doors opened and bought every thing needed, but ran into one road block there were 2 beardies in the cage. Which one was the one she wanted. I could not see a difference in them I tried to put my hand on the glass but was ignored by both. So I said out loud to them "well one of you is coming home with me today, which one want to go" and as if they understood me the one put its head down and the other one up. So I picked him up and bought him. I rushed over to the Mommies morning out program where Madi was and pulled her out of class early. When I opened the door to the van she saw a little box with holes in it sitting on her car seat. She looked at me puzzled and asked what it was. I opened the box for her and took out her friend she jumped up and down and started crying she was so happy. We took her new friend home and set up his tank and to my relief I had gotten the right one as he put his hand on the glass when Madi did.
She named him Ord from the TV show Dragon Tails. About a year and a half latter we were puzzled by Ord's odd behavior, she was eating like crazy, was hugely fat, and digging up a storm in her cage. Turns out Ord was a girl, she laid 17 infertile eggs.

That's a sweet story...seems like there was a little connection with the two of them.
