Question about sexing

bigbearhook Aug 17, 2010 01:23 PM

I have a Western Hognose that I rescued from a reptile rescue. I was told it was full grown and a male but I didn't care what sex it was. I just love it as a pet. Recently at a reptile show, I was told that 150 grams is the split between male and female. Since then it has got me wondering what I have so I weighed it today and it weighs 216 grams. Is it fair to assume that I have a female then? If not, it's all good. Like I said I dont' want to breed it. Just to see if "Harley" is for boy or girl.
THanks,
Jared

At that weight, it is probably a female. Can you post a pic of it's underside from the vent to the tip of the tail? They are easy to sex visually.
