Sorry I've been posting alot but i'm getting a Beardie for x-mas so i'm a little antsy. Well the question is how do you handle a BD? In pics i see alot of people grasping their BD's. When i handle my leo i jus let them walk on me and around the floor. So can i do that for bd's or do i have to grasp them. I know you have to wen they are younger or handle low to the ground because they jump. So how do you handle them?

dragons tend to feel most comfortable with all four feet supported and held close to your body, support as much of their body as you can with your hands. when your dragon is calm and a bit older often they will just hang off your shirt or sit atop your shoulder, my guys will come to the store with me and just sit on my shoulder and not move all the way there and all the way back, but with youngsters and babies its best to make sure they are secure in your hands, they tend to be jumpy and ya dont want them jumping from a height like your shoulder. mainly just handle them gently and when you go to grab them approach from their side, not the top so as not to startle them..best of luck with your new bd!
