desert lemon blast

robertseib Aug 18, 2010 01:13 PM

I bred a desert male to a lemon blast female. The small clutch of 5 eggs hatched a few weeks ago and they are all feeding well now. Out of the 5 eggs there were 4 with the desert mutation in them. Thank you God.

There was a desert male, a desert lemon blast male, a desert pinstripe female, a desert combination female that I suspect is a desert lemon blast. Chad Brown of Pro Exotics calls her the mystery snake (thanks for all your help and enthusiasm, Chad). Maybe a few more sheds for her and I'll know for sure. And there was one lemon bast.

I think I'll hold on to the desert lemon blast male. There are a few multiple gene females I would like to breed him to next year.

Just got a clutch a few days ago from a mojave bred to a desert. I would love to get a desert mojave as well....

Wow, That Desert gene is unbelievable the way it cleans up a snake. those things are great looking.. I just love it.. Ok now, dont laugh but it the Desert a recessive or a codom gene? I have not paid much attention to them because of the price but I can see after having gotten into the SuperStripes this year I need to get with it as far as that Desert gene goes and make that my next project. The desert mutation is either dominant or codominant. Chad will let us know later this year because he is breeding desert to desert.
