Introducing..........a new Pied combo...

Brandon Osborne Aug 19, 2010 05:28 PM

Not exactly sure but it is at least a Pewter Pied and possibly a Sterling Pied. The head is a bit lighter than the Pewter but it could just be washed out due to the lack of color overall. This was a 3 egg clutch from Pewter het Pied X Pastel het Pied. I have two more opportunities to produce another this year...another clutch of 5 eggs from Pewter het Pied X Pastel het Pied and Pewter het Pied X Pied. Although I'm a little dissappointed in the lack of pewter pattern, I'm stoked about the potential of things to come. Good luck to everyone in their projects.

I think they are beautiful. I think those that invested did real well. I don't like to put down others interest in snakes as everyone has a right to enjoy what they like with out impudment

. There is nothing wrong with Ball pythons and i don't hate. Maybe jealous of the money being made by investing in them. But otherwise they really are like pet rocks. No personality, no movement. It is like they exist on life-support machine. The heart beats but nobody is home.

The personality and the fact they used to be the garbage junk snakes of the snake worl not to long ago. I used to import them in april every year (fresh hatched babies from africa) for $4. each. Sold them for $20. at local shows and flea markets in the early 90's. There were clowns, anerys and other weird morphs in theose shipments but knowbody cared more than anyone cares now about water snakes morphs.

Anyway rant is over. I think everybody that invested in them came out smelling like roses. But I just had to stay faithful to my first love. AND THAT IS SNAKES LIKE COLUBRIDS AND BOAS. I jusy could'nt warm up to the Ball pythons and still don't. I stayed faithful and TRUE to MYSELF until the bitter end while everyone is making out like pirates on these morphs I am actually enjoying and proud of what i actually like a snake for..

I actually kinda like Nerodia as far as display animals go (active, visible, some are rather attractive)...just gotta get away from the projectile pooping and fish/frog diet....*sigh*

We wouldn't have 6 and a half billion people if you had to be beautiful to get laid.
6.6 African House snakes
3.2 reticulated pythons
.1 corn snake
4.2 Florida Kings
1.2 speckled kings
1.2 ball pythons
0.0.1 Argentine boa

I like Nerodia better than compared to the Ball python species. Also there is a lot going on with them right now. Lots of new and intersting morphs suddenly showing up.

yeah. I thought about them vs kings but decided to go with something that tends to be less pissy to work with. I don't like to bleed very much, and I like getting crapped on even less. Combine the two and I HATE it. Nothing like getting crap or musk in open wounds :-/

Haven't seen you post in a while . Good to hear from you! This guy is working out well.....

Say what you will about the pet rock thing. There are times I'm getting REALLY tired of getting chewed on by Kingsnakes, and I feed mine often and ALOT!

Good luck with your project

Bob.

Yeah, but that nice sulfur you have is worth a good chew now and then!..LOL!

OTs allowed sometimes! We all do it! Cool is Cool.

Very nice snakes whether they are kings or not. I don't think I have ever seen one with such a cool pattern (pied all but the head).

Great and thanks for sharing
