I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little disappointed in the article. There is a simple mistype so somebody obviously didn't care enough to proof read their article. I think instead of focusing on the behavior of the anaconda and Cornwall's (sorry forgot his name and closed the link) opinion, they should have taken the time to learn about bullsnakes and educate people about those a little more. The actual footage was better but still focused too much on the anaconda and how they don't make good pets because they get so large. But I do like how the reporter said that it does have a mouth so it can bite,. From that I took that snakes aren't the only bite you should be afraid of because other things can as well. Also the last comment about keeping your distance if you don't know about a particular type of animal.

I do agree that they concentrated on the Anaconda more then they should have and the "anything can bite" thing irritated me...
but what bugged me more?
The part where they say "So the bull snake makes a good pet" and they showed a CORN SNAKE.

Not nearly as bad as the original blunder...but still.

that actually seemed a little positive as far as the feedback went. showed people handling snakes and the reporter sitting there with the retic was a nice addition. now only if we can get more of this..

Great work by everyone who took the time to contact the news station and call them out on their errors. And I think the line "In all your years you have never received this many emails" sums up just how fed up with all this crap every one of us really is.

Yeah and apparently we all did it with some class as well(Otherwise they wouldn't have bothered at all),so it looks like we were more organized than we thought ehh?

yes, definitely good work to everybody who sent emails. We should all pay more attention to news and write emails and call stations when information presented is incorrect. Eventually reporters etc will start checking their facts when it comes to reptiles before going live with incorrect information.

Fantastic....!

If anacondas are far too dangerous and unpredictable, then you have to wonder why that zookeeper was freehandling it...

Hmm, doesn't quite bear out.
