looking for B. pararmata (or perarmata) dwarf armored chameleons

about 8 years ago i was working in a pet store and i would see these little guys all the time. i was wondering if they are around now. looking for something small and challenging, these seem to fit the bill. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Brian,

Check your CITES list....
These guys are on it - and no longer are being imported. There are very few LTC left in the US. Sorry.

b. perarmata is CITES App.I, meaning they arew highly endangered and close to extintion. They will not be exported fro madagascar and it is very unlikely you could get one.

It's strange, but i stumbled upon a website which appears to be pretty profesional, and they were selling B.Permata. they had a picture of them, and it was definately B.permata alrite. the funny thing is, i also noticed that website selling another endangered reptile, the chihuahua horned lizard(Phrynosoma orbiculare). wonder how they got all their animals.

I gather there may be some CB perarmata somewere, but they proberbly would be selling them illegally?

they are most likely being imported through the czech republic, which we all know means they are illegal..............
