Anyone have any comments on using a fire belly toad as a scenting toad?

I have never heard of anyone doing so but I have heard they are very toxic to other animals so I would not advise doing so but I could be completely wrong.

Since I'm not getting much help with my original question I'll ask a new one. What kind of a toad or frog can I buy to scent with safely? Years ago we had Western Toads around, but I haven't seen one for over 10 years. I'm looking for something I can purchase at a pet store or in the clasifieds. Thanks!

What are you trying to feed? Western/Eastern/etc....?
