There's no such thing as being het for ghost. Ghost is the expression of two traits - anerythristic and hypo. A snake can be a double het for ghost.

Adult Hondurans often have more black flecking as well as an overall "wash" of dark pigment - they tend to be less vibrant that babies.

I think that baby looks like a pretty "standard" tangerine. Here's a few that I've hatched over the years:

Yeah, both tangerine AND tricolor are natural wild phenotypes, and many ghosts out there in the market are products of tangerines, only the anery gene makes it impossible to distinguish what it would otherwise be.

The VERY, VERY wide banded ghosts are virtually all "tangerines" if they displayed the absent color and were not void of all red and/or orange pigmentation.

You can get any combination of these colors in a single clutch depending on the parental lineage and further back. Tricolors, tangerines, intermediates, and anything in between are all possible in certain clutches.

those are real nice man!

Thanks all, babys are out but there are still 4 eggs unhatched. It looks like it will be all anerys. No ghosts and hypos in this clutch.Nevermind. ;D One baby is as you call it integrade between tricolor and tangerine. Its huge baby.

got at least one Hypo out of that clutch...so keep us posted.

Ghost to a Het for Ghost should give you 25% Normals het Ghost, 25% Hypos Het Anery, 25% Anerys Het Hypo and 25% Ghosts.

If you don't have a single hypo or a ghost in that clutch...that's just bad odds...or a questionable adult.

Do you have pics of the adults?

Congratulations. Nice clutch. I always like that particular shade of tangerine on the head and bands.

I know that I should get at least one hypo or ghost. It seems that my female is only het.anery.

that your female is just Het Anery...but you never know, you could have just had some bad luck.

What about the remaining eggs?

Yeah, in reality, it would actually take more than just a few eggs from one clutch to rule out the snake as not being het hypo or not. If it had the same outcome next year with a good-sized clutch, then it would be a safe bet that it was only anery.

As we all know, the "odds god" can smile down on you at times, or frown down big-time as well...LOL!
