Daytona Acquisitions.....Pyromelana

Jlassiter Aug 24, 2010 04:56 PM

Well....I went to Daytona with a big chunk of change wanting to pick up some more Mexican Arboreal Alligator Lizards but ended up adding some Pyros (2.2) to my group.....So I was able to come home with some money......LOL

Here's a 2010 Male I got from Mark Kenderdine (Crimsonking).....
I love all the black crossovers.....

I looked over the place for a mate for the Male I picked up from Mark and saw this AWESOME Female on Dennis Thomas' table.....
So I picked her up too....

And....after looking around I found Howie Sherman and a bunch of Applegate Special Pyro Hets along with a pair of Applegate Special Pyros......

I picked up a nice Female Special and a het male to mix into my Sentz Line Hypo and Hypo-E projects.......

Those are killer bro. I saw that "Applegate special" at Howie's table as well!..LOL!

Too bad I didn't run into you there at his table. I had a very short stay there this year unfortunately.

Thanks Doug.....
I left a male Special pyro on Howie's table because it was thin and only eating live.....I thought about it later and wished I would have gotten a het female as well for another project.....

Wish you could have stayed longer......

Nice additions John! Dennis Thomas has some nice Pyros. Picked this one up from him at the Orlando show in the spring. She has that spotted pattern about 1/3 of her body. Wish I could have made it this year, already working for next though.

Way to go on those high black models John. Someone needs to start line breeding pyros for high black instead of just reduced, maybe you?

Thanks Greg.......

I always liked that one in your picture Greg....It is KILLER!
And I do enjoy the high black Pyros......
I got them to breed into the Hypo Sentz line, but should spin off a het for nothing high black project as well......
I think a very black hypo Sentz Pyro would look amazing.....

Oh boy....another project......I hope I live long enough to see everything I have planned to make it into existence.....LOL

The crossovers on this sentz line hypo from jason baylin circa 2003 convinced me that morph is the perfect match for the high "black" or crossover pyros--it gives more surface area to show off that beautiful coffee-and-cream color.

Yeah Terry, that hypo is absolutely STUNNING!

Sort of similar to the extreme hypos Hondo's that have wider siver/gray rings, it really accentuates the neat trait!

A bunch of light cross-over's would be really sweet in my opinion too.

I'll be doing exactly that in 2012!
Nice acquisitions, John!
I wish I could have gone to the show, but the economy has precluded any recreational expenditures. Unless it improves, the only way I am going to get any more baby pyros is when my snakes breed.

Jlassiter Aug 25, 2010 08:11 PM

Thanks Pyromaniac (Bob, I think)......
I look forward to your 2012 models....
I hope to have 3 clutches next year...
None from the high blacks until 2013..
