??? About Pastel Axanthics...

BrandonSander Aug 25, 2010 10:46 AM

I've asked this question before (maybe a year or two ago) and didn't get any replies at that time (maybe because not enough people were working with or producing Pastel Axanthics at that time).

Anyways, we all know that Axanthics have a tendency to brown out with age. (Yes, there are those notable exceptions, but for the most part it seem that 75-80% of adult Axanthics are pretty "normal" looking.)

Does anyone know if Pastel Axanthics brown out with age too? Can anyone post pictures of an adult or sub-adult Pastel Axanthic - possibly next to a Wild Type for color comparison?

Thanks to anyone able to answer these questions and DOUBLE "Thanks!" to anyone able to reply with the pics!

I'm still not sure if it's weird that my best friend is a two year old boa named Ronin. He's quiet, non-judgemental and listens... what more could you want?

Depends on the line...BIG TIME!!!!

I have a line out of Africa that is very good....as well as VPI's line...which is the Top in my eyes.

They may get a bit of yellow bleeding through but no brown..I have seen some other Axanthics that don't look that hot.

They still look great as adults in my eyes!

Here's a Pastel VPI Axanthic at 1500 grams. She's next to a normal for comparison. They're pretty easy to tell apart
