Pretty Little PineSnakes - Photos -

byron.d Aug 25, 2010 11:02 PM

Over the past few years I've been building a small collection of Northern Pine morphs. I scored this year, adding some animals that I've admired and wanted for a very long time...

This female here is the daughter of the wild caught - and confiscated, patternless Northern Pine from Lakehurst NJ. This patternless gene is dominant, and different from the other line of patternless Northerns.

I love the history and story of this line as much as I love the snake itself.

This hypo Northern is just stunning to me.... I tried to capture his colors as best I could. He has as sandy straw ground color and his blotches are a strange burnt orange / brown.

Here's a drastically reduced pattern female - alittle darker than I prefer, but I couldnt pass her up.

And her sister..... Love this one here.

Thanks for looking - let me know what you think....

Those are very cool, easy to mix up with Southerns now but hopefully people will attempt to keep the subs seperated. The Hypo and Patternless now give the Notherns more morph potential. Hybinos, Patternless Albinos etc. Nice group you have there.

I appreciate the compliment. I have my fingers crossed that you produce a few more axanthic Southerns this season.... I really regret not snatching up those two you had last year.

I really dig that patternless. I have a yearling with a ton of color in her that I'll post after she sheds.

See you on the 11th.!!!!

I've been working with Northerns for a few years and have never seen any quite like that. That's some pretty cool stuff!

Great looking snake, Byron. That first Northern is the answer to the question I asked you in that E mail. Your collection is starting to get out of control! lol
