Best herping vehicle?

With all the worry about our borders and the potential for violence on the those lonely stretches of desert we should all get one of these when they come to market..

Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon LAPV 6.X

Mercedes-Benz already offers protective versions of several of its mainstream vehicles in Europe, but this one could drive all over them. The G-Wagon Light Armoured Patrol Vehicle 6.X isn’t for sale…yet, but the diesel-powered concept has a cargo capacity of 2,600 pounds, an 18-inch ground clearance, and a fully-armored body with removable panels that includes a land mine deflector plate. We’re not sure if satellite radio is on the options list, but a military-grade EADS communication system with radio jammer should get you to your target, or Target, just fine.

If I could find a grayband with those colors I'd be pretty stoked.

My Cherokee would kick that things butt off-road. That's a nice Benz though.

OK, but will it hold off small arms fire and IEDs?

I can't say for sure. Never tried it. Ahhh I get it. You're thinking about herping around El Paso. I will try to get a pic on here but my Jeep Cherokee is lifted, full skid plates, Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radials and the best of all the whole Jeep is Rhino Lined instead of painted.
