What are the "trade" names for these?...

Brandon Osborne Aug 26, 2010 10:18 AM

So I have another cool clutch hatching right now and I'm not sure what they are actually called because of all the cinny/black pastel confusion.

Pastel Super Cinny = ?
Super Pastel Super Cinny = ?

I have at least one of each in this clutch along with a super pastel, 2 cinny, 1 pewter, and 1 paradox (Pewter/sterling/?).

I'll post pics after they are out of their eggs.

Pastel Super Cinny = Silver Bullet
Super Pastel Super Cinny = super pewter. As far as I know it was first dome by Doug Matuszak of the boa basement and that is what he named it. Paul at Steel City Exotics

Thanks Paul. We have one of each sitting in the incubator along with 2 cinnies, 1 super pastel, 1 pewter, and 1 paradox (pewter/sterling/silver bullet?)....and all are pos. het Pied. Pictures to come when they emerge.

I ended up with a Silver Bullet and two Super Pastel/Super Cinnamons last year and the consensus on this forum was that the latter should be called Super Pewters. But I noticed an identical snake on the Grazianis' available page last week, and they called it a Sterling Bullet. I emailed Phil about that, and after agreeing with me that names don't count for much any more, he explained that the Sterling Bullet name is used to denote his line of Cinnamon (thought he might have meant his line of Pastel but didn't want to display my ignorance). So there's that to consider.
