update on dumped dragon

guenevier Aug 26, 2010 05:49 PM

Hi; Well, it's been 6 days since some idiot dumped a perfectly nice orange dragon. His nail polish is losing it's luster, but it will definitely take a shed to remove. Geeze.

The cool thing is, he is so tame. He sees me and is at the corner in a flash, waiting to be lifted out of his tank for some one on one. And he has no problem putting the crickets away. So however long he was outside in our cold climate, it wasn't long enough to damage his health. We've had some really recordbreaking hot weather lately too, which had to have helped him out.

No one has claimed him, or the other one dumped last month in the woods. People are so selfish. We know it was dumped, not an escapee - the one in the woods was found many many miles from any home. So as of now, my co-worker and I are each very happy to be calling them ours.

I guess it pays to keep at least one or two empty setups around just in case.
