Help! Crested wont eat anything!

Matt55 Sep 24, 2003 11:49 PM

Ive tried feeding him three different kinds of baby food(guava, mango, and peach) and he wont eat any even off the tip of my finger. Ive tried the crested gecko diet also. Then I tried crickets and he wouldnt touch them. please, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Be patient. At this point if it is going to eat anything, it will be baby food. It is important that it gets protien. Try mixing babana, peach and turkey. Add a pinch of calcium . Put a bit on a lid so that it does not fill the whole lid. That is, make a circle with the food that has a defined edge that you can see. Put it in the cage ad leave it alone overnight. Check the edge in the morning to see if it ate any. If not, skip a day and try again. How old is the gecko? and how long have you had it?
good luck

Thanks for the help! He finally ate last night! I noticed little tongue marks in the baby food.
