Anyone here who visits the boa forum has already seen this pic. She's a nearly 6 foot Dumeril's boa that I got from an acquaintance who got tired of her, but that's far from the beginning of her story. About 2 1/2 years ago, a friend who at the time owned a reptile shop had a bit of an odd discussion. A lady cane into the store with this snake and wanted to sell her. She said she belonged to her daughter, who could no longer take care of her. My friend declined the sale, and politely sent her on her way. 2 weeks later, the lady was arrested for her daughter's murder, which was the reason the daughter "could no longer take care of the snake". The mother was later convicted, and I have since ended up with the snake. It took over a year to get her weight up, and she still has a little way to go, but she's come a long way. Believe it or not, I was offered $500 for her, before I knew if she was really a keeper or not-well, she's a keeper.
