VPI Axanthic Enchi

muddoc Aug 28, 2010 10:04 AM

I have a few shots at this project this year, and the first clutch of eggs has hatched. We produced a pair of Axanthic Enchis. They appear to have some yellow color near the belly in the alien heads, which is strange. I will be very interested in watching these grow. Pictured is an Enchi Poss Het on the left, an Axanthic in the middle and the Axanthic Enchi on the right. The Axanthic Enchi is the female. The female is the nicer of the two, and I selected her for the picture, because I thought it would be easier to see the Enchi influence in the pic.

This is one of those animals that must be seen in person to truly appreciate. I took about 30 pictures, and could never get the colors just right. Enjoy the pic.

Thanks everyone. I am very excited about this project. Still a little way to go before we can see the Super Enchi Axanthic. I just hope it is drastic enough to be able to pick it out when it hatches.
