The cute factor is probably the only thing I miss about raising my own rodents.

I know, I feel bad sometimes. But I just put them in their cage, walk away, far enough where I can't hear them squeel, wait a few minutes, then return to make sure the snake is alright.
But it still is sad for me, and ive been having snakes for 10 years.

Rat breeding became a second hobby thanks to my snakes. I'm always trying different pairings to make interesting rats that I keep as future breeders.
Started out making different color hoodeds and stuff...now it's all kinds of mottled masked rats and stuff. Gets fun.

Rat breeding is a blast. Yeah, seeing their colors is awesome. Ive been breeding rats for about 7 weeks now, and I already have 30 rats, all of which are in my bedroom.
Im going to start finding cool offspring and breeding them to other cool ones. Selective breeding with rats!
