Martha Stewart Pets

With Martha Stewart now hawking her own line of pet supplies at Petsmart, does anyone think she'll be an advocate for our cause? I think HSUS and probably PETA are in opposition to this most recent economic venture of hers.

Are any herp supplies included in her line?
I saw a show of hers a number of years ago that featured terraria with chameleons and bearded dragons and she was explaining their care and how to set up correct environments so she either has herps or at least an interest in them. Maybe an administrator of this site could reach out to her and explain our dilemma.

I dont know anything on her pet line however....

Martha keeps Chows. Chows are a breed that will or has fallen from favor from AR groups because despite what they preach, they fully endorse breed specific legislation. Martha has been very outspoken against BSL unlike Oprah.

Martha has long kept domestic farm animals. So far, her new line of pet supplies is basically for dogs. Aren't HSUS and to a lesser degree PETA opposed to the keeping of domestic animals and pets in general? Dogs as well as domestic farm animals would be included in that list.

Seriously, I think it a little early to throw Martha into the fray at this point. Let's not alienate her by pleading for allegiance to our position straight away. I'm sure she's not looking for any controversy so soon. Something to consider in the future, though.

Both Martha Stewart and Rachel Ray do things against what HSUS and PETA approve. Yes Martha is actually the inspiration for the chicken craze (and people raising chickens for their own eggs). Rachel also makes/sponsors her own line of food with the proceeds going to a variety of animal WELFARE organizations, including BAD RAP which took on PETA and HSUS during several high profile cases and won. Both major cases (The Vick dogs and the Newkirk Dogs) The animal rights orgs were pushing for death to all. BAP RAP is the primary reason that the dogs got away from those properties alive.

Cindy, First thanks for coming by my tables at the Daytona show!I think you are the one to appoach Martha. You could hit it off with her, it could be her next line of products. I can see you running the entire Stewart Reptile line. She be like having Trump on our side. That is if she doesent have turtle soup in her canned goods department. Vic

Who was that weird little hyper dude that she used to have on her (Martha's) show when she did her pet segment. He used to have lizards on there.
