This guy has the potential to be a Super Pastel Whirlwind. He looks alot like a Ghost Super Pastel in person (which he isn't , wasn't bred out to be) and has a very "peachy" coloration to him that's hard to capture on a pic. So to me his looks appear to be about right considering Whirlwind/Spectors are a type of codom hypo anyway. So he'll just need to be bred out to be sure. I produced a sister that is alot like him in the same clutch but this one is by far the better looker of the two!

Let me know what you guys think ! Not an average looking Super Pastel from what I'm seeing!

Thanks again Matt! Actually he does look about right to me but until I know for sure what's going on genetically I'm just going to keep an open mind with him and see what happens. I've been frustrated before with the Super Stripe stuff so I'm a little hesitant to say for sure that it must be right. There is also a possibility that he is just a really jacked up looking Super Pastel Yb too , never seen one like him really but that may also be what he is, just thinking with a head like his , color like he has,all the intense blushing and those washed out alien spots odds are he isn't just a Super Pastel. Just wish I could have made him sooner as it will be one male I would really like to prove out one way or another!

Thanks for your post on the Sulfur Crystal as well Matt! The second Sulfur Crystal is out now. Looks like both are females, they will stay here for future breeders. I will try getting a better pic of the 2 with a regular Crystal but every time I try to get close ups the pic turns out a tad blurry , I can't figure the $500 Fuji camera settings out I guess...

I definitely agree it's not a normal Super Pastel. All the reason I think this little guy has something else going on as well.

Compared to yours.....

It was bred from Pewter het Pied X Pewter, which was son back to mother.

The clutch also produced a couple of things I can't figure out...when the genetics should be pretty simple. I think there could be something else in the mix.

Very cool stuff! Congrats!

Brandon, I see what you mean ! Don't ya love problems like that "and there's a couple I can't figure out", LOL , that's exactly what makes this fun! If it was easy to understand all the time everyone would have it all figured out and we would just get bored then!

Good luck with that clutch man!
