am I just lucky ???

Hello, I am new here.. and already ahve a question, Last monday I adopted a young iguana in... from people who just wanted to Throw it away :S

So been to the vet and all that, and the little animal is fully healthy..

Before I started on an iguana I read alot of "caresheets" planned a whole diet etc... and also planed how to tame him..

but now 3/4 days later.. that whole scedule how to tame is.. is gone.. because Liz just.. sits on my hand .. roams my room , loves to be petted on top of his little head.. and is extremly friendly 2 people who come into my room..

Its not why expected to be honest.. I expected a wild little animal that didnt wanted to be toutched :P..lol

anyhow, am I just lucky or... can something be wrong?

btw here is a pic of Lizzy when we were on the way home ( made a wooden box with some climbing stuff in... just telling ya all because his new home is much prettier :P )

Yep. But I notice that escues and adoptees are often the sweetest of them all.

May i ask you a question? Is your new baby skin very soft, extreme soft (like silk!) and his belly a kind of flacid? Is it full of energy or a little slow?

I dont want to be pessimist, probably you are just VERY lucky, but i had an iguana like that, too much sweet since the beggining...Yes, he died suddenly when he was 13 months without any visible signs but the symptoms i described above. It seems that he had a congenital problem! Please dont freak out, what im saying its just something that can happen not something that will happen! Just enjoy your baby but keep an eye on it!And if its possible ask a good vet to do a blood exam!

well is skin is soft but not extremly... not like my skin.. its more like my chameleons skin... and yes he is full of energy..

I dont know the exact age, the people I got it from said he was around 1 and a half.. but he seems so small for a one and a half year old.. his STV is almost 9 inch..
