Sweet find

Wasnt expecting this girl. She came from an alterna phase male (sold as a River Road, but no info on him) and a light blairs female (generic). From 7 eggs, I got 5 blairs, 1 clean alterna, and this lady. Appears to have no orange (aner possibly?). They just hatched and still need to shed, so well see what she looks like then.

Nice snakes Mike,

I can not wait until I am finally done with my collection and my snakes are able to breed. Congratulations

I know I'm just a pet keeper, but am wondering what that one with all the patterning and speckly neck is called? It's pretty cool, and I've not seen that before.
Very pretty clutch!

Graybands with that look are often refered to as having a "busy" pattern. The word can be applied to both Blair's and alterna phases and just means the snake(s) has alot of bands, alternates and/or speckles. It's a natural pattern variation, not a morph in the sense of amel, hypo, anery, etc. It's somewhat unpredicatable but can be selectivly bred for in the same way that bright orange or light gray can be selectivly bred for, by simply breeding two "busy" ones togther. The resulting clutch should have a spectrum of hatchlings ranging from less "busy" to more "busy" than the parents.
