ugly little Albino.. opinions wanted

Siegi Aug 31, 2010 01:33 PM

I had a small unexpected litter of Sharp Albinos and hets a few weeks ago. Sharp Albino x 50% Sonora het Sharp
Very small litter but with one weird little Albino.
This little girl is freshly shed now, but she looks a little bit wrinkeld like she had a to big sized skin on. It is in good shape so far but it seems this little one have not many scales ?

What do you guys think ?

Siegi

She's gorgeous but she is very wrinkled like she is
extremely dehydrated possibly ???

I'd have her in 100% humidity on wet paper towels or damp Aspen

Beautiful Boa I hope she makes it !

Albinos in particular have problems right after being born if kept too moist. I was warned about this by J.Ronne in 2004 right after I had a huge litter of albinos/sunglows.

I hope that one pulls through for you.

I treat all my Albino offspring the same way, had never that problem with them. Maybe it will zurn the right way after a few sheds... time will tell...
This little girl reminds me on Acrochordus javanicus a had years ago

She's one heck of a pretty albino. I have no idea about her skin. Maybe she'll grow into it after a few good meals???

When and how did she shed? Did she do it by herself, or did you help?

Siegi Sep 01, 2010 03:40 PM

She did it half way than I helped her..I like the pattern she shows, but dont think that she will make it, time will tell.
Today she gets her first meal, hope she will eat.
Her littermates are in good shape..
