My best so far

These two will probably be my holdbacks for this year.
The mystery hypo:

...and this sweet high-white albino. Check out how the white overtakes the wide orange bands half way down the body.

I'd like to explore the genetics of mystery hypo and see what happens. The parents were both possible hets for hypo but this looks really light compared to others from this line.
As for the albino, I want to line breed and see just how much white I can get into one of these snakes. The father is a dark tangerine normal and the mother is a really dark (I'd say almost HYPERmelanistic) tangerine normal. So far her other babies look they will be dark like her.

I dig both of those!
I has a similar "white tail" hatch out here last month:

the amel's mother and father probably weren't as dark when they were young as they are now, though tricolors darken more than tangerines do. (this snake's pattern looks more like a tricolor than a tangerine, btw).

anyway, based on what you've said about the parents, it's likely that this amel baby, instead of getting dark tipping that increases with age, will get white tipping in the red areas. With age, that tipping might increase and "eat up" the coloration in those areas, leaving--as you had speculated--an even whiter snake than this one is now. It's an example of ontogenetic change, change over the course of an animal's life--my hair turning gray, or a snake turning darker--or whiter--as the case may be.

Beautiful and a reminder that Hondurans still hold amazing potential.
