adult desert photo

Deserts really do maintain their color as adults. I bought this male as a baby in 2007. Back then whenever I opened his tray I was blown away by the intensity of the color.

He is shown here with a newly hatched and shed 2010 male desert from the desert lemon blast clutch. I'll post updated photos of the clutch when they have shed again.

Robert,
He looks great! Did you get him from Stan at Daytona that year?

I did get him from Stan, but it was after the show. He shipped him to me.

I cannot stop looking at the 2010 babies, though. I'm waiting for a desert pin to shed again so I can get a good shot of the three desert combos to post.

I think your Male might have been a clutch mate to mine. I picked mine out at the show but all of my sales at the show were credit card sales so I had to give Stan a down payment and send the rest to him after I got home. Here is a picture of my girl right after Stan sent her to me and then one of her just two weeks ago. She just hit the 1500 gram mark so I am going to finally breed her this year.

That is possible. How many males did he have?

It's interesting to see the before and after photos 3 years apart. The baby desert male inside the coil of my adult has similar coloration to your older baby shown here.

And both of the adults held their color. It's nice to see a snake that doesn't get muddy with age.

I love when people post adult pics of morphs. Although I think deserts are different and interesting, they are not my cup of tea. Just as the banana they do not look as spectacular when they are adults. Either way congrats and nice animals.
